Kitri is the heroine in the ballet Don Quixote. She is such a fun and flirty character and is one of the most coveted roles to dance. This look was inspired by Barcelona because if you read the synopsis of the ballet, the first line is “A Square in Barcelona”. The city is so colorful and vibrant, so that is the direction I went in creating this look. This makeup can also be worn for any Spanish ballet, such as Paquita or Spanish in Nutcracker. I did base this look on the Spanish Eye Look I did in my Nutcracker Series, but it is slightly more complicated. It’s even complete with spit curls!

  1. I absolutely love your blog and your videos, they are so helpful. You are so inspiring! and your french twist hair clip is gorgeous, where did you get it from? 🙂 Thank you so much for writing and making videos!

  2. I would love to see the nutcracker tutorials as videos. My I also suggest doing a ballet bun appropriate for a class situation.
